Finding YOUR perfect lingerie!
Those of you who are in our VIP group may already know we have been shamelessly OBSESSED with making lingerie recently. There are so SO many different types of lingerie and I do see women (and men) sometimes become frustrated in trying to find their perfect fit, so lets chat! Hopefully, this guide will give you some new inspiring ideas on how to find your perfect lingerie.
First off, consider your body TYPE NOT SIZE, (your size doesn't matter there is lingerie for everyone) Are you more blessed in the back? maybe you have a narrow body type, or maybe you're curvy for days. So think about that, and think about the areas that you want to show off or conceal. We are going to talk about the first 5 body types and what we recommend for the dos/don'ts of choosing lingerie!

If you want to know more about your body type check this article on health line! Now let's talk lingerie!

Let's get to it!
RECTANGLE
Girl I see you. The most common thing I hear from women that have a rectangle body type is "why should I bother with lingerie..? I don't have any curves. Yes girl you do! When you have a rectangle body type it's important to find lingerie that accentuates your curves and draws attention to them. I would recommend a two-piece bra and low/mid-rise panty set or a teddy that has curvy, vertical lines. Added scallop lace that goes around the edging will give a little more oomph to your curves and draw attention to the areas you want to show off.
AVOID
Items that have straight lines,- You want to boost curviness not straight lines.
Corsets (they will smash your girls down)
Babydoll- Will kill your curves
Flat/simple Bodysuit - same reason for

straight lines
TRIANGLE
Does it always seem like pants are impossible to find??? Yes girl I feel this struggle...BUT lingerie doesn't have to be impossible! glorify your God-given gift and. I would recommend a cute bra with mid-high wasted panty, bustier with panty, or simply designed teddy/bodysuit with high cut leg holes (this helps leading lines going to your backside and makes your legs look longer)
AVOID
Corsets-
(they will smash your girls down)
Babydoll- Will kill your curves

SPOON
Similar to triangle body shape but you have a little bit more thigh area to work with. You may have been discouraging in the past searching for that perfect fit. I would make a lot of the same recommendations as I would for Triangle body shape but think definitely high cut leg holes for whatever style you choose.
I would recommend a cute bra with mid-high waisted panty, bustier with panty, or simply designed teddy/bodysuit with high cut leg holes (this helps leading lines going to your backside and makes your legs look longer)
AVOID
Corsets-
(they will smash your girls down)
Babydoll- Will kill your curves
Low cut leg holes.- Won't give your curves the attention they deserve!

HOURGLASS
Hourglass body type can rock a lot of looks! This is maybe the only body type I would recommend a corset be an option for. Bra and panty set with low/mid-rise panty, teddy, bustier, bodysuit the really almost any style.
If you have a larger bust you may be wondering why all of the "cute" stuff is in smaller sizes, this can be frustrating! Try to shop at stores that specialize in lingerie, local shops, custom made bras or even adding some flair to a bra you already have. If you are larger busted finding a cute/sexy well fitting bra at your run of the mill department store will be a difficult task.
AVOID
Babydoll- Will kill your curves, this is probably the worst item for an hourglass figure.

TOP HOURGLASS
Top hourglass, or "top-heavy" as I am sure you've heard this term before. It can be tricky to find lingerie when you are a top hourglass shape. Why are all the cute bras in smaller sizes? ugh, I feel this one...BUT there is hope! Shopping at places that specialize in lingerie, having a bra custom made, or adding some flair to a bra you already have are all great choices when the department stores don't have what you need.
I would recommend bra and panty set, teddy with high thigh holes, bustier, and possibly a corset if worn right.
AVOID-
Corsets that are too tight-
(they will smash your girls down)
Babydoll- Will kill your curves
Thongs- You want to have panties that shape your bottom and follow your curve line!
DOS FOR EVERYONE
Be patient and shop around. It can be easy to get discouraged when shopping for that perfect fit but don't! You may find something you love in an unexpected place.
Don't shop for something that you want to wear when you lose/gain weight because your body type can change.
When choosing a colored lingerie pick jewel tones, for color ideas click here. These colors show up beautifully in the camera and will make gorgeous products for you.
Have fun with it! It's your body, celebrate it the way you want to.
DON'TS FOR EVERYONE
Avoid super padded or push up items. The extra padding can cause "gaping" in some of the poses.
Patterns. Avoid patterns, if you find a pattern you absolutely love, talk to your photographer about how it will photograph. Some patters are SO cute in person but do not render well in-camera and can be distracting.
